      @AppleSupport Daughter had phone1, but now has phone2 with a new sim. Son now has phone1 with old sim, but no cell plan. His phone still gets some of her messages.

    @AppleSupport On his iMessages I couldn’t uncheck her old number.

      @AppleSupport So I reset the phone. Now iMessages just tries to connect. Can’t uncheck the number. But seems to still work.

          @AppleSupport Nowhere online can I find an Apple document that describes how to remove a number from an iPhone iMessage Apple ID, when that phone has no service

            @AppleSupport Or a document describing how to transfer phone1 to my son, keeping phone1’s original number, but stopping it from receiving messages for my daughter who is now signed into phone2
